The new model for Superintendent Evaluation in Massachusetts can seem cumbersome and overwhelming. Done well, it can be an effective tool in moving your district forward. In this workshop, we’ll dissect the various components of the evaluation model. We’ll discuss how to plan and implement the evaluation cycle in a way that meets your district’s needs and keeps the process simple and manageable.

Along with your questions, you are encouraged to bring your own examples of superintendent goals that have either worked well or have not for the group to discuss.

 A status update for MCAS 2.0 from the Massachusetts Department of Education. This is a must “see/hear” and, given the demand that DESE has had for this information, we are pleased that Division VII has been given an actual person to appear and answer our questions!

There will be lots of time for Q&A for both presentations.

Healthy Food Fuels Hungry Minds: A Stakeholders Conference for School Food

This day-long program at Harvard University is designed for school leaders/policy makers, parents, providers and advocates. The event will include important information on changes in the Healthy, Hunger-Free Kids Act and other recent federal legislation and changes in nutrition standards.
