As we work to recover and move beyond the upheaval of the past 15 months, the MASC and MASS Boards of Directors are excited to be able to host once again the largest annual gathering of education leaders in Massachusetts, featuring a program of nationally known guest speakers, panel sessions offering professional development opportunities and in-depth discussion of the critical education issues of today, a variety of vendors, demonstrations on instruction and management best practices, special keynote and meal programming, and a chance to network with other school leaders from across the Commonwealth!
The 2021 MASC/MASS Conference will be held as a hybrid program, both online and in-person in order to ensure the comfort and safety of all of our members! We are working closely with the conference center to ensure safe and sanitary practices and protocols and planning the program to minimize crowding. Those who wish to view remotely are welcome to do so - just select Virtual Attendance when registering!

The Annual MASC Delegate Assembly is held each year during this conference, at which time new MASC officers are elected and the Delegate Assembly considers resolutions submitted in conformance with the MASC By-Laws. Members submit resolutions to be considered at the Assembly, which often result in the filing of legislation by MASC or the establishment of official positions on legislative and other issues.
In order for your school committee to have a vote at this meeting, districts must be active members of MASC (in compliance with annual dues regulations as spelled out in the MASC By-Laws). Member districts may designate a school committee member as a voting delegate (an alternate delegate may also be designated) and notify MASC using the official Delegate Form no later than October 27, 2021. A Delegate Manual with resolutions to be considered and voting instructions will be sent to members and posted online here in advance of the meeting.
The 2021 Delegate Assembly will be held on Saturday, November 6, 2021.
Delegates who attend only the business meeting do not need to register for the conference; if a delegate plans to attend any other conference programming or functions, they do need to register for the conference.
MASC's 75th annual meeting was held remotely on Saturday, November 7, convening at 1:00pm. A total of 143 delegates representing school districts across the state were registered and participated in the deliberations of the meeting.

Because of the extraordinary circumstance of the pandemic and upon the advice and guidance of MASC general counsel Stephen J. Finnegan, the Board of Directors has authorized the Delegate Assembly to be held by remote participation. The 2020 Delegate Assembly will begin at 1:00pm on Saturday, November 7, 2020. If you are not a delegate, you can register to join the meeting here; delegates will be sent the meeting link and details automatically. In addition to the Zoom link, delegates whose districts have notified MASC of their appointment will also be sent A SPECIAL SECOND LINK FOR VOTING prior to the Assembly. This will permit delegates and alternates to attend, but only official delegates will be permitted to vote. Delegates and alternate nominations must be submitted to MASC by October 26.
Dear School Committee Members and Superintendents:
None of us could have anticipated how much COVID-19 has disrupted our plans for 2020. We have all been working under extraordinary and unprecedented circumstances that have forced us to adapt and deal with the implications of the pandemic, including the social contract with students and each other that we have valued over the years.
Regrettably, due to the anticipated limits on large gatherings, requirements to preserve public health practices, reluctance of exhibitors, and the loss of access to our convention venue, we will not be able to host our Annual MASC/MASS Joint Conference that was originally scheduled for November 4-7, 2020.
The following list includes organizations who have reserved an exhibit booth at the 2019 MASC/MASS Annual Joint Conference. Find the booth by matching the exhibit booth number below to the number on the Exhibit Hall Map .
