Legislative Bulletin: FY2018 Senate Ways and Means Budget

The Massachusetts Senate Ways & Means Committee recently released its FY2018 Budget recommendations, which examines both the Governor's budget proposal and the House budget proposal and releases its own recommendations for the annual budget for deliberation by the Senate. MASC General Counsel Stephen Finnegan just published a Legislative Bulletin which outlines the recommendations, including a $22 million increase in Chapter 70 over the House budget, a $12 million increase in the Special Education Circuit Breaker and others.
